
This
historical photograph of the the well-know actor, John Wayne, was taken aboard
the submarine U.S.S. Carp in the 1950's. The photograph on the left has been damaged
--- a prominent horizontal line that traverses the entire length of this
treasure. On the right, the photograph has been restored using digital
photographic enhancement techniques. Time to complete: 1 hour

This
family photo had one family member that wasn't
looking at the camera at the time the photo was taken. Fortunately, there
was another photo that had the individual looking the right direction, so their
face was replaced in the photo. Time to complete: 25 minutes

A few tears, holes, and bad
lighting spots were touched up on the woman posing on the front lawn. Time to complete:
20 minutes

Look
closely at the before image and you will see that this photo required some close-up
work. Aside from the numerous scratches, mold spots appeared throughout
the photograph. We scanned the 2" x 3" original at a very high
resolution, so that the restoration could be enlarged to a 16" x 20"
with little degradation. Time to complete: 1 hour, 40 minutes
